Individuals,
organizations, and businesses frequently hold fundraising events to
benefit YOTO. These are called “Third Party Fundraisers” since YOTO
staff does not participate in the planning or coordination of the event
or cover costs that may be associated with running the fundraiser.
We supply community organizers with agency information, help with promotion through our newsletter and website, and on occasion provide a mutually agreed upon number of volunteers to assist during the event.
Some examples of successful third party events include:
--Themed Events: car shows, bike races, sporting tournaments, with admission fees to benefit YOTO
--Silent Auctions at organized events--Mini-Mall Drives: specific food and personal hygiene items, as per our suggested list
--Support for YOTO campaigns, such as Back-to-School donation drive, our holiday gift card donation drive, etc.
